What is Analytics?

First, click on “Analytics”:




It has two options: Channel and Video.



First click on Channel.



Here you can see five sections: Basic, Advance, Geo & Devices, Traffic Stats and Compare.
In the basic section, you can see the graphical representation of likes & dislikes, comment & share, subscribers and view for channel.




You can view the statistics for, week, month, year or which belongs to a custom time period by entering the dates in the provided fields.
At the bottom, you can see the list of your uploaded videos with uploaded Date.



You can see the no. of views and likes on that video as well.
In the advance section, you can see the graphical representation of watch time and average view duration time for your channel.




In the Geo and devices section, you can see the number of viewers and their origin of country by referring to the map and you can also see which device they used to view your channel.



In the traffic stats section, you can view the statistics graph for traffic source and playback location.




In the traffic source graph, you can see the type of source they used like YouTube channel, subscriber, YouTube search, related video, External URL, playlist, etc to visit your channel whereas in the playback location graph you can see from which location your video is played.
In the compare section, you can compare the statistics of maximum three videos at a time.




The statistics comparison like Likes, Dislikes, View, Favourite, Comments will be shown at the bottom of the page.

Now, go back to the Analytics section and click on video.




You will reach the page where you can see the list of all videos which you have uploaded on your YouTube channel.
You can see the number of views, likes and comment in your video.
You can search the video by its name, sort it by date, views, likes and share.
Click on stats option to view the stats of your video, you will get 5 sections- basic, advance, GEO and devices, traffic stats and compare.
